Our business started out, and still is, high quality, hand-crafted rocking horses. www.RockingHorseDepot.com We display our rocking horses, for sale, at trade shows and events, decorating the booth, with a Christmas design. One day, a friend said, "Why don't you make your booth look Western?" I thought about it and decided it was time to change. Also, by chance another friend and I bought some cowhides. So, I used them to decorate the Rocking Horse Depot Booth. Well, wouldn't you know it. People started asking, "Are the cowhides for sale?" I said no, we sell rocking horses. After more shows and more request the answer was obvious. We need some cowhides to sell. Plus they look good all around in the booth. Now the hard part. Lot's of importers, wholesalers, qualities of slaughter houses, tanning processes and finishing. I know first hand, how bad many of them are, how good the pictures looked and price sounded. The learning process is expensive, time consuming, slaughter house salted hides smelly and, a few years later, rewarding when another happy user is added to our customer list. I wanted the "best of the best", like our rocking horses. So the search began, with a little help from Tandy Fort Worth and friends. Over the past several years, since 2001, we now have the "best of the best" in cowhide and a network of knowledgeable, talented people who make it all possible. In our Humble Sale Warehouse, we have a large supply of "Select Sheen", free range cattle hides, round star cowhide rugs, cowhide furniture, pillows, coasters and placemats. Each cowhide is unique in color and design. They are "full round hand", for upholstery, wall art, rugs and custom cowhide carpet. I personally find each cowhide and know you will appreciate the high quality and unique design. Little did I know, the suggestion to "make it look western", would become so much fun and lead to so many good things, new places and more interesting people. In "keeping it western", I suggest you visit www.TeakRanch.com for rustic western furniture and www.OldCigarIndian.com for cigar store Indians and custom signpost. That's another story. You can hear about, at the other www sites.
